The Transition to Parenthood Course

This unique and holistic course is designed to create space for you to begin to prepare for life with a baby, both practically and emotionally. As well as teaching you about caring for your baby, together we will explore what becoming a parent means for you and look at how embarking on this journey shapes many aspects of our lives.

After this course, you will automatically be invited to join a local baby and toddler group and a growing community of other parents in Geneva.

Doula Services

Doulas are trained professionals who can offer support in pregnancy, birth and in the postnatal period by providing information, advocacy, and offering practical and emotional support to the whole family.

 

If you would like to have a doula accompany and walk with you through different aspects of your pregnancy and birth, we can explore this option with you.  â€‹

Create a Birth Plan

Creating a birth plan is both an incredibly useful preparation exercise and also results in a tool that you can use to advocate for your individual choices during delivery.  There are so many variables and options to think through when creating your birth plan.

One to One Parenting Consultation

As one approaches the transition into parenthood, some parents find it useful to have a one off or a series of one-to-one consultations as a way of creating space to explore how this change is going to shape you as individuals and as a couple.

 

We can support you as you consider questions like:

 

  • What kind of parent do I want to be?

  • How will my own childhood affect me as I parent?

  • What are our shared values?

  • How will we cope with conflict when it arises?

  • How can we look after ourselves once we are parents?
